Molly was raised in Pennsylvania. She began her professional life at the age of thirteen, at Philadelphia's Prince Music Theater. As part of the Arden Theater production of Into the Woods in 2002, she was awarded a Barrymore Award for playing Little Red Ridinghood. She portrayed the same role as Into the Woods in Broadway when she was fifteen and was awarded an Drama League Award nomination. Molly appeared in Broadway during the 2004 revival of Fiddler on the Roof. Molly has been in several regional productions, including The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee in the Barrington Stage Company, North Shore Music Theatre as well as Westport Country Playhouse's 2010 production of The Diary of Anne Frank.
