Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn, an American actress from America. The most well-known of her roles is Skyler White on the AMC series Breaking Bad, for which she won the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 and in 2014 for Outstanding Supporting actress for a Drama Series. Her other roles include Jean Ward in The Practice and Martha Bullock from Deadwood. Anna Gunn, born 1968 in Sante Fe New Mexico fell in Love with Acting in The Preparatory School before moving with her family from New Mexico to Ohio. She studied theatre at Northwestern University and spent a semester in the British American Drama Academy. Anna was employed in the theatre industry in the Chicago area for a few years prior to trying her hand at television as well as films. Anna received her breakthrough in 1992 when she was cast as Arden for 29 episodes of Down the Shore. In the following years, she was a guest star in a handful of TV shows and films including Seinfeld and NYPD Blue until the late 90's. She was then cast in a recurring role as Jean Ward in The Practice. In the mid 2000's she was given the role of Deadwood for the part of Martha Bullock for two full seasons. She was cast as Skyler in Breaking Bad as Skyler, in the year 2008. Sully as well as Deadwood are also among the highlights of her career. Gunn has also been seen on scene in David Swimmer's production Sex With Strangers. She also appeared in Numbered Day, which is a podcast consisting of four audio plays. The romance between Walter White and his wife Skyler is the most prominent element of the story on Breaking Bad with the strained attraction between the couple and eventually its demise similar to the arc that was Walter White's last years of life.
